the brief

MARIGOLD SOUND — THE BRIEF

Marigold Sound is built around a 1970s rock-poster aesthetic — Mati Klarwein, art-nouveau botanicals, gold foil swirling across deep black. The brief leaned into nostalgia without falling into hippie-dippy cliché. We designed an art-nouveau-inspired wordmark with a custom botanical flourish, then printed the whole front face in gold foil so it shifts under light like an old vinyl gatefold.

THE STORY.

Psychedelic design lives or dies on the discipline of its line work. We treated this like a poster commission — every curve hand-drawn, every leaf finalized as vector, every edge prepped for foil registration so the printer wouldn't have to guess. The result is a pouch that feels like a record sleeve and a wall poster at the same time.
